This research line focuses on power electronics, electromagnetic design, data acquisition, multisensor processing, and control systems for biomedical applications. These include electrosurgical applications for local tumor treatment (using electroporation and radiofrequency), disinfection of joint prostheses (using induction heating), and other biomedical applications.
Multidisciplinary collaborations have been established with other biomedical groups. Publicly funded research projects are carried out, as well as privately funded projects with companies (Angiodynamics, VoltMed, Vecmedical, etc.).
