The objectives of this line of research include the experimental, technical, economic and environmental analysis of alternative processes for the reduction (increase in efficiency of energy processes) and capture of CO2 in industries difficult to decarbonise (e.g. the production of steel, aluminium, glass or those based on the use of combustion engines).
The members of the group have led and participated in several theoretical and experimental projects on oxy-combustion, post-combustion with silica-supported amines, CO2 capture by calcium-looping, as well as their integration in industrial processes.
