CO2 capture processes and the use of CNG in the automotive industry

The main objective of this line is to assess the feasibility of co-capturingCO2/impurities from different industrial or automotive processes for subsequent transport, injection and storage or for subsequent utilisation (CCSU technology, Carbon Capture Storage and Utilisation). The aim is to close the carbon cycle.

To this end, the volumetric, acoustic and vapour-liquid equilibrium behaviour ofCO2 emissions is experimentally characterised and modelled by means of equations of state. In particular,CO2 emissions from methane combustion engines or methane-rich mixtures are analysed.
